Andrea Salinas is Oregon's 6th District representative, serving her second term since 2022. One of the first Latinas elected to Congress from Oregon, Salinas holds a degree from the University of California, Berkeley. Before her congressional election, she worked as a legislative policy advocate and lobbyist and served in the Oregon House of Representatives. Her district covers portions of the Willamette Valley including Salem, McMinnville, and southwestern Portland suburbs. In the 119th Congress, Salinas serves on the House Agriculture Committee with subcommittees on Forestry and Horticulture and Nutrition and Foreign Agriculture, plus the Science, Space, and Technology Committee, bringing Latino community advocacy to agricultural and scientific policy.
