Aumua Amata Radewagen is American Samoa's delegate and first woman and Republican delegate, serving on Foreign Affairs, Natural Resources, and Veterans' Affairs committees.
Aumua Amata Coleman Radewagen is the non-voting Delegate to the U.S. House from American Samoa, serving in her sixth term as the territory's first woman and first Republican ever elected as delegate. The daughter of Peter Tali Coleman, American Samoa's first elected governor, Radewagen is an alumna of the Sacred Heart Academy and the Catholic University of America. She worked as a congressional staffer and Republican National Committee official before her election to Congress. In the 119th Congress, Radewagen serves on Foreign Affairs with subcommittees on Africa and East Asia and Pacific; Natural Resources with subcommittees on Indian and Insular Affairs and Water, Wildlife and Fisheries; and Veterans' Affairs as Vice Ranking Member, reflecting her senior position. She also holds a Vice Ranking Member role on the Small Business Committee. Her legislative priorities focus on federal economic development support for American Samoa, sustainable fisheries management, veterans' services, and advocacy for the territory's unique political status and self-determination rights.
