Ben Cline is a Republican U.S. Representative from Virginia's 6th District since 2019, representing the Shenandoah Valley.
Ben Cline is the U.S. Representative for Virginia's 6th Congressional District, serving since 2019 and currently in his fourth term. A graduate of Bates College and the University of Richmond School of Law, Cline worked as a prosecutor and congressional aide to Representative Bob Goodlatte before his election to Congress in 2018, succeeding Goodlatte. He served over 15 years in the Virginia House of Delegates before his congressional election. Representing a district covering the Shenandoah Valley and surrounding areas including Roanoke and Lynchburg, Cline sits on the House Appropriations and Judiciary committees. His legislative priorities center on agriculture, rural economic development, water resources, and conservative judicial philosophy. Cline has been instrumental in securing federal funding for rural infrastructure and maintaining support for farming communities and small towns across southwestern Virginia.
