Beth Van Duyne is the U.S. Representative for Texas's 24th Congressional District, a Republican first elected in 2020. A Cornell University graduate, Van Duyne served on the Irving City Council and as mayor of Irving from 2011 to 2017 before working as a regional administrator at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development during the Trump administration. She represents a district covering suburbs between Dallas and Fort Worth including Irving, Grapevine, and Southlake. Van Duyne sits on the Ways and Means Committee, specifically on subcommittees focused on taxation, trade, oversight, and work and welfare policy. She focuses on tax policy, helping businesses compete globally, and suburban issues. She won reelection in 2024 and advanced from the 2026 primary.
