Biography

Brad Sherman is a Democratic U.S. Representative from California's 32nd District, a senior member of Financial Services and Foreign Affairs committees in his fifteenth term serving the San Fernando Valley.

Bradley James Sherman is the U.S. Representative for California's 32nd Congressional District, a Democrat first elected in 1996 and currently serving his fifteenth term in the 119th Congress representing a San Fernando Valley district centered on Sherman Oaks and the western Valley. A certified public accountant and attorney, Sherman is a graduate of UCLA and Harvard Law School and served on the California State Board of Equalization, including a term as chair, before entering Congress. He is a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee. He previously chaired the Asia subcommittee of Foreign Affairs and is known for detailed engagement with securities regulation, tax policy, nonproliferation, and U.S. relations with Israel, India, and Armenia.
