Cliff Bentz represents Oregon's 2nd Congressional District, the state's vast rural eastern and southern region. A Republican first elected in 2020, Bentz is now in his third term. He graduated from Eastern Oregon University and Lewis and Clark Law School, combining his legal expertise with ranching operations. Before Congress, Bentz served in both chambers of the Oregon Legislature, building substantial influence on water policy. In the 119th Congress, he serves on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce with subcommittees on Commerce Manufacturing and Trade, Energy, and Health, alongside the Natural Resources Committee with focus on Federal Lands, leveraging his deep knowledge of western water rights and public lands management.
