Biography

Dan Goldman is a Democrat representing New York's 10th District since 2022, a former lead counsel in the Trump impeachment inquiry and heir to the Levi Strauss fortune.

Daniel Sachs Goldman, U.S. Representative for New York's 10th Congressional District, is a Democrat first elected in 2022 serving his second term representing lower Manhattan and brownstone Brooklyn including Tribeca, Greenwich Village, Park Slope, and Sunset Park. A Yale University and Stanford Law School graduate, Goldman spent a decade as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York before gaining national prominence as lead majority counsel during the first impeachment inquiry into President Trump. Heir to the Levi Strauss fortune, he sits on the House Homeland Security and Judiciary committees in the 119th Congress. Goldman focuses on democracy issues, rule of law, and anti-corruption efforts, recently announcing his candidacy for reelection in the June 2026 primary.
