Daniel Webster is a Republican U.S. Representative from Florida's 11th District, a former Florida House Speaker representing The Villages and Central Florida.
Daniel Alan Webster is the U.S. Representative for Florida's 11th Congressional District, a Republican first elected in 2010 serving his eighth term representing a Central Florida district including The Villages retirement community, Ocala, and the Nature Coast. A graduate of Georgia Tech, Webster operated a family air-conditioning business and served in the Florida House of Representatives for nearly two decades, becoming the first Republican Speaker since Reconstruction. He also served in the Florida Senate. He has run for Speaker of the U.S. House as a conservative alternative. In the 119th Congress, Webster serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, where he chairs the Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials, and on the Science, Space, and Technology Committee. His legislative priorities include serving senior citizens at The Villages, supporting rural communities, transportation infrastructure investment, and space policy.
