Dina Titus is a political science professor and Las Vegas Democrat serving her seventh consecutive term on Transportation and Foreign Affairs committees.
Alice Costandina 'Dina' Titus represents Nevada's 1st Congressional District encompassing most of Las Vegas including the Strip. With a doctorate in political science and three decades of university teaching experience, Titus brings scholarly expertise to Congress. She previously served two decades in the Nevada State Senate, including as minority leader, before returning to Congress after an initial 2009-2011 term. In the 119th Congress, Titus serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee with subcommittee assignments in Aviation and Economic Development, Public Buildings and Emergency Management, and Highways and Transit, and on the Foreign Affairs Committee with European and Western Hemisphere focus. Her priorities include tourism industry support, gaming regulation, air transport infrastructure, and Greek American community interests, reflecting her district's unique economic and demographic composition.
