Dwight Evans is Pennsylvania's 3rd District representative, a Democrat who won a November 2016 special election and is currently in his fifth full term. He spent more than three decades in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, including service as chair of the House Appropriations Committee, bringing deep expertise in public resources and urban development. A graduate of the Community College of Philadelphia and La Salle University, Evans represents a heavily Democratic district covering much of Philadelphia including West Philadelphia, Germantown, and Chestnut Hill. He serves on the House Ways and Means Committee. In June 2025, Evans announced he would not seek reelection in 2026, though he intends to serve the remainder of his current term.
