George Latimer, U.S. Representative for New York's 16th Congressional District, is a Democrat elected in 2024 after defeating incumbent Jamaal Bowman in one of the most expensive and closely watched primaries in House history. Graduating from Fordham University and New York University, Latimer spent decades in local government including as Westchester County Executive beginning in 2018, and previously served as a state assemblyman and state senator.
