Biography

Nine-term representative and House Agriculture Committee chair. Focus on Farm Bill and rural broadband.

Glenn W. Thompson, known as GT, is Pennsylvania's 15th District representative, a Republican in his ninth term since 2008. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Temple University, Thompson worked as a licensed therapist and rehabilitation services manager before his congressional election. He represents a vast rural district covering much of northern and central Pennsylvania. In the 119th Congress, Thompson serves as chair of the House Agriculture Committee, a position he has held since 2023, becoming the first Pennsylvanian in nearly 170 years to lead the panel. He focuses on Farm Bill negotiations, agricultural trade policy, forestry management, and rural broadband expansion.
