Jefferson Shreve (R-IN-6) is a self-storage entrepreneur and former Indianapolis city councilman first elected to the House in 2024.
Jefferson Shreve is the U.S. Representative for Indiana's 6th Congressional District, a Republican first elected in 2024 and currently serving his first term. Born in Bloomington, Shreve built and sold a national self-storage company before entering public service. He served on the Indianapolis City-County Council before losing a 2023 mayoral race and subsequently winning the open U.S. House seat vacated by Greg Pence. The district spans central and southeastern Indiana from Indianapolis's southern edge through Columbus and Shelbyville. In the 119th Congress, he serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, focusing on small business, agricultural policy, and conservative fiscal principles.
