Biography

Jim Jordan is a Republican U.S. Representative from Ohio's 4th District and chair of the House Judiciary Committee in the 119th Congress.

James Daniel Jordan is the U.S. Representative for Ohio's 4th Congressional District, a Republican first elected in 2006 now serving his tenth term representing a large rural district in western Ohio. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin with advanced degrees from Ohio State University and Capital University, Jordan was a two-time NCAA wrestling champion and served as an assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State before his political career. Founding member and former chair of the House Freedom Caucus, he chairs the House Judiciary Committee and the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government in the 119th Congress, overseeing major federal oversight initiatives.
