Kelly Morrison is a Democratic U.S. Representative from Minnesota's 3rd District, a physician and former state senator representing western Twin Cities suburbs.
Kelly Morrison is the U.S. Representative for Minnesota's 3rd Congressional District, a Democrat first elected in 2024 and currently serving her first term. She represents a district covering affluent western suburbs of the Twin Cities including Minnetonka, Plymouth, and Edina, succeeding Dean Phillips. A graduate of Yale University and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Morrison is an obstetrician-gynecologist who trained at Northwestern University and practiced in Minnesota for over twenty years. She served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023 and in the Minnesota State Senate from 2023 to 2024, representing District 45. In the 119th Congress, she joined the House's first Democratic Doctors' Caucus and serves on committees addressing Health and Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs. Her priorities include reproductive rights and maternal health, healthcare affordability, climate action, and gun safety.
