Ken Calvert is a Republican U.S. Representative from California's 41st District and Chair of the House Defense Appropriations Subcommittee.
Kenneth Stanton Calvert is the U.S. Representative for California's 41st Congressional District, a Republican first elected in 1992 and currently serving his seventeenth term. A native of Corona, Calvert graduated from San Diego State University, ran a family restaurant, and worked in real estate before entering Congress. As a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee, he serves as Chair of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee and has shaped defense spending priorities. In the 119th Congress, he secured over $67 million in community project funding for Riverside County infrastructure, water supply, and development projects through the fiscal year 2026 appropriations process. His legislative agenda centers on national defense investments, Inland Empire infrastructure development, water supply security for Southern California, and expanded veterans services. Calvert remains the dean of the California Republican delegation and one of Congress's most influential voices on defense and interior appropriations.
