Kevin Mullin is a California Democratic congressman and Energy and Commerce Committee member representing the 15th District since 2022.
Kevin Mullin represents California's 15th Congressional District, a Peninsula district in San Mateo County, as a Democrat first elected in 2022 and now in his second term in the 119th Congress. A South San Francisco native and son of longtime state assemblyman Gene Mullin, Mullin graduated from the University of San Francisco and worked in small business and public policy before being elected to the South San Francisco City Council. He served in the California State Assembly from 2012 to 2022, rising to speaker pro tempore and focusing on housing, election administration, and technology policy. In the 119th Congress, Mullin serves on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce with subcommittee assignments including Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade. He was previously appointed to the Transportation and Infrastructure and Science, Space, and Technology committees but transitioned his focus to energy and innovation issues. His legislative priorities include transit and BART investment, climate policy and clean energy, housing affordability, broadband access, technology innovation, and federal support for the San Francisco Bay Area's transportation and environmental challenges.
