Madeleine Dean is Pennsylvania's 4th District representative, a Democrat in her fourth term since 2018. A graduate of La Salle University and Widener University School of Law, Dean practiced law and taught writing at La Salle before her election to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. She served as one of the House's impeachment managers during President Trump's second impeachment trial in 2021, gaining national recognition. Dean represents Montgomery County and portions of Berks County in southeastern Pennsylvania. In the 119th Congress, she serves on the House Appropriations Committee and House Foreign Affairs Committee, focusing on gun violence prevention, reproductive rights, and combating the opioid crisis, which has affected her own family.
