U.S. Representative from WA, District 3

Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is a Democratic U.S. Representative from Washington's 3rd District and small business owner.
Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is the U.S. Representative for Washington's 3rd Congressional District, serving since 2023 and currently in her second term. A graduate of Reed College, Gluesenkamp Perez and her husband own an auto repair shop in Skamania County. Her 2022 victory over Republican Joe Kent, a Trump-endorsed candidate, surprised national observers in a district that had been trending Republican for over a decade. She won reelection in 2024 despite the district favoring President-elect Trump, by focusing on bread-and-butter economic issues and constituent services rather than cultural controversies. Known as one of the most conservative House Democrats, she serves as a co-chair of the Blue Dog Coalition. Representing southwestern Washington including Vancouver and portions of rural southwest Washington, Gluesenkamp Perez sits on the House Agriculture and Small Business committees, advancing rural business interests, agricultural policy, and right-to-repair legislation protecting consumer access to repair services.
