Rulli is the U.S. Representative for Ohio's 6th Congressional District, a Republican who won a special election on June 11, 2024, with 54.66 percent of the vote, succeeding Bill Johnson who became president of Youngstown State University. A graduate of Ohio State University, Rulli is a third-generation grocer and owner of Rulli Brothers Markets in the Mahoning Valley. He served in the Ohio State Senate representing the Youngstown area from 2019 to 2024 before his congressional election. He represents a district covering eastern Ohio along the Ohio River and the Mahoning Valley, focusing on manufacturing, energy, and working-class economic issues.
