Nicole Malliotakis, U.S. Representative for New York's 11th Congressional District, is a Republican first elected in 2020 serving her third term representing Staten Island and southern Brooklyn including Bay Ridge. Daughter of Greek and Cuban immigrants, she graduated from Seton Hall University and Wagner College, serving in the New York State Assembly for a decade before her congressional election, including as the 2017 Republican nominee for New York City mayor. In the 119th Congress, Malliotakis serves as Assistant Whip and the only SALT Caucus member on the House Ways and Means Committee. She successfully negotiated provisions increasing the SALT deduction cap to $40,000 for individuals and families in 2025 tax relief legislation, focusing on the SALT deduction, public safety, and opposition to congestion pricing.
