Rick Larsen is a Democratic U.S. Representative from Washington's 2nd District and ranking member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
Richard Ray Larsen is the U.S. Representative for Washington's 2nd Congressional District, serving since 2001 and currently in his thirteenth term. A graduate of Pacific Lutheran University and the University of Minnesota, Larsen served on the Snohomish County Council before his congressional election. He serves as ranking member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, leading House Democratic efforts on infrastructure policy. Representing a district covering northwest Washington including Bellingham, Everett, and the San Juan Islands, Larsen sits on the Armed Services Committee. His legislative priorities focus on aviation, Boeing's operations and workforce, Naval Station Everett, and infrastructure investment. In 2024, he supported federal grants totaling over 47 million dollars for low- and zero-emission buses across Washington transit agencies, advancing emissions reduction and fleet modernization goals.
