Ron Estes (R-KS-4) is a former Kansas state treasurer and aerospace engineer serving his fifth term in the House.
Ronald Gene Estes is the U.S. Representative for Kansas's 4th Congressional District, a Republican first elected in a 2017 special election to succeed Mike Pompeo. He represents Wichita and south-central Kansas and is serving his fifth term. A graduate of Tennessee Technological University and Texas Tech University, Estes worked as an engineer and executive in aerospace and oil-services industries before serving as Sedgwick County treasurer and Kansas state treasurer. In the 119th Congress, he serves on the House Budget and Ways and Means committees, concentrating on aviation and aerospace manufacturing, tax policy, trade, and conservative economic policy.
