Sam Graves is a Republican U.S. Representative from Missouri's 6th District and chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
Samuel Bruce Graves Jr. is the U.S. Representative for Missouri's 6th Congressional District, a Republican first elected in 2000 serving his thirteenth term representing an expansive northern Missouri district including Kansas City's northern suburbs and much of the state's rural north. A sixth-generation farmer from Tarkio who graduated from the University of Missouri, Graves farms corn, soybeans, and cattle with his family and served in the Missouri General Assembly before entering Congress. He chairs the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and previously chaired the House Small Business Committee. His priorities include highway, aviation, and inland-waterway infrastructure, agriculture, and small business development. Note: Graves announced in March 2026 that he will not seek reelection in 2026.
