Suzan DelBene is a Democratic U.S. Representative from Washington's 1st District and chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Suzan Kay DelBene is the U.S. Representative for Washington's 1st Congressional District, serving since 2012 through a special election and currently in her seventh full term. A graduate of Reed College and the University of Washington's Foster School of Business, DelBene spent two decades as an executive at Microsoft and other technology companies before entering politics. In December 2022, incoming Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries selected DelBene to chair the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the primary campaign organization for House Democrats, a position she holds while continuing her congressional duties. Representing a district stretching from Seattle's northern and eastern suburbs to the Canadian border, DelBene sits on the House Ways and Means Committee, focusing on tax policy and technology issues. Her legislative priorities include tax reform, support for innovation and technology businesses, agriculture, and rural broadband expansion.
