Timothy Floyd Burchett represents Tennessee's 2nd Congressional District, a Republican first elected in 2018 serving his fourth term covering Knoxville and surrounding east Tennessee. A University of Tennessee graduate, Burchett served in the Tennessee House and Senate for 16 years before his election as Knox County Mayor, serving two terms. Known for his colorful personality and interest in UFO disclosure, he serves in the 119th Congress on Foreign Affairs, Oversight and Government Reform, and Transportation and Infrastructure committees. He is part of the new House subcommittee overseeing President Trump's Department of Government Efficiency.
