Crush the Virus Act of 2021

This bill provides supplemental appropriations to several federal agencies for activities and equipment to respond to COVID-19.

Specifically, the bill provides appropriations to the Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The bill provides the appropriations for

  • distributing and administering vaccines;
  • researching and developing vaccines, therapeutics, and medical supplies;
  • testing, contact tracing, and mitigation activities;
  • disaster relief;
  • medical supplies and equipment;
  • personal protective equipment;
  • reimbursing health care providers for health care related expenses or lost revenues that are attributable to COVID-19;
  • block grants for community mental health services; and
  • block grants for the prevention and treatment of substance abuse.
