Iran Sanctions Accountability Act of 2023
This bill requires the President to issue regulations to ensure that transactions exempted from sanctions on Iran for humanitarian purposes do not facilitate (1) the purchase of goods or services involving a person designated for imposition of sanctions, (2) support for acts of international terrorism, or (3) the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. The bill also directs the Department of the Treasury to instruct the U.S. Executive Director at the World Bank to oppose providing financial assistance to Iran.
