J. French Hill is the U.S. representative for Arkansas's 2nd Congressional District and chairs the House Financial Services Committee in the 119th Congress, leading the panel with jurisdiction over banking, securities, insurance, and housing policy. A Little Rock native and Vanderbilt graduate, Hill served as a senior staffer on the Senate Banking Committee, as a Treasury Department official in the George H. W. Bush administration, and as chairman and CEO of Delta Trust & Banking Corporation in Little Rock before his 2014 election to Congress. His extensive banking and Treasury background gives him deep expertise on financial regulation and economic policy.
