Executive Summary

Tribal Conservation Priorities Inclusion Act

This bill includes Indian tribes as entities that can identify priority resource concerns under certain federal conservation programs.

Currently, a priority resource concern is defined as a natural resource concern or problem, as determined by the Department of Agriculture, that is identified at the national, state, or local level as a priority for a particular area of a state. This bill expands the definition to include identification at the tribal level as a priority for a particular area on tribal land.
